The History of Women in the Role of Mother on Planet Earth
Part 1: Lemuria
by Tijana Ristic
The ancient Greek philosopher Plato talked of an ancient continent he named Atlantis in his Dialogues (Criteas and Timaeus). Plato talked actually of two different islands. The Holy Spirit has revealed that one of these islands was Lemuria while the other was Atlantis. Both continents sank into the ocean amidst great earthquakes, floods and volcanic eruptions, leaving no records of their existence but for the spirit carried generation to generation in the people who migrated from that great continent of Lemuria (more on that later) which was said to be the Motherland. So why did these continents sink, what was it that led to their destruction?
Plato talked of these as being civilizations of great advancement, both scientifically and spiritually. And through the Holy Spirit we know that these were indeed Golden Age civilizations. Lemuria was a land where the Spirit of Mother was revered and honored, hence the name Motherland. And likewise women, as representatives of that Mother, were respected and held a place in society as equals to men. In that land there were tangible, physical focuses of the Spirit of Mother located in temples around the land. Priests and priestesses tended to these focuses of purity. Their perpetual devotion to the Mother held the balance for all people incarnating on the continent, and indeed the Earth. In the book of Revelation we find hints about the Mother which reflect our understanding of Lemuria:
And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars. (Rev 12:1)
It is said that in Lemuria there was a great central shrine to the Mother and then there were twelve smaller shrines which encircled it, which corresponds to the woman with a crown of twelve stars.
The inhabitants of Lemuria were a mixture of children of God and beings who had fallen into the duality consciousness, as well as mature sons and daughters of God who came on a rescue mission in the hope of helping their fallen brothers and sisters return to the path of oneness. Instead what happened was that over time the fallen ones taught the children of God their fallen ways of desecration of the Mother and many other perversions. They infiltrated the priesthood and eventually desecrated the temples, bringing in focuses of the perversion of the Mother and worshipping them instead of the pure light of the Mother. Even some of the mature sons and daughters of God forgot their origins and why they were there. And thus, they too became enveloped in the duality consciousness which is truly the consciousness of separation from God—what in the Eastern traditions has been called the veil of maya, the veil of illusion.
The fallen ones hated the Spirit of Mother and blamed her for their fallen state and their incarnation on this planet which they viewed as an imprisonment. Driven by this hatred they eventually murdered the highest representative of the Divine Mother on Earth. This was a low point on this planet, and an act that the planet has not recovered from ever since. The downward spiral continued and the continent subsequently sank leaving no physical records of its existence, and with its sinking the physical focuses of Mother were withdrawn from the Earth. Again there are hints of these events in the book of Revelation:
And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth. And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. (Rev 12:13-17)
So veiled in this passage we see the hatred of the dragon—the fallen consciousness of the serpent and those who identify with it—for the Mother. There is also the hint of the destruction of the focus of the Mother in a flood just as Lemuria was swallowed into the ocean, and thus the Mother was withdrawn for a time. But the dragon proceeded to make war with the remnant of her seed, which are the righteous people of God, the sons and daughters and children of God. And this war continues even to this day.
Surely there are other interpretations of these passages and this is not to say that they are wrong and that this is the only true one. A religious teaching is structured precisely in such a way that there can be many ways to understand it. There are many levels to it which ensures that each person can take away something from the teaching that helps them in their striving to come closer to God. A single person may even read one passage and understand it one way, and then a few months or years later they can come back to the same passage and see something more there that they did not have the understanding of before and so they could not perceive it. We can use the analogy of the tests commonly used to detect color blindness . They consist of an arrangement of dots like the example to the right. There are some dots that are arranged by color to make a number, letter or figure. And then there may be some other dots arranged to make another number, letter or figure. And so the colorblind person would see one number (in the case of this image a 2) and the non-colorblind would see another (in this case a 5). Both are contained in the same image, yet one person sees one thing and another something else. So likewise a religious or spiritual teaching can be interpreted at many levels, depending on the level of one's growth and understanding.
But now returning to Lemuria—the pacific islands, which were the highest mountaintops on Lemuria, are the only remnants of this once magnificent land. All knowledge we have of Lemuria today is what has been revealed through the Holy Spirit. Of course, there are many people incarnating on Earth today that have a soul memory of Lemuria—this is not a conscious memory, but more of an intuitive sense and knowing that they were there either in its Golden Age or later as it began to spiral down, or even at its destruction.
Many people on Earth today were indeed the very same priests and priestesses that tended to the focuses of the Spirit of Mother in the temples devoted to her in Lemuria. Yet they have forgotten their love. But that love can be rekindled and indeed it is high time for it to be rekindled. It is high time for the priests and priestesses to stand up and accept who they are and what they came here for. It is time for you to accept your calling. I am not talking about someone else. It is oh so easy to say "no that couldn't be me" or "someone else can do it" but you see that is just the ego talking, and it was this very same attitude that led to the destruction of Lemuria. Because the righteous people fell by the wayside and no longer wanted to take responsibility for their society. They did not want to take a stand against the dragon as it raged and raved. And as the old saying goes, for evil to triumph it only takes that the good people do nothing.
And as another famous saying goes: those who do not learn from history are destined to repeat it. So I AM calling to you. Will you take a stand this day? Will you choose this day to say "Enough is enough, I will no longer accept the dragon abusing the woman and her seed?"
I say choose wisely, choose to Be and stop choosing not to be!
